GUWAHATI, June 12 � The Mileage, a monthly publication from Guwahati in the format of a tabloid, was launched at the Guwahati Press Club by Sushanta Talukdar, Senior Assistant Editor, The Hindu. Applauding the initiative for publishing a monthly magazine, Talukdar emphasised adequate coverage needed to be given to society�s downtrodden, who get adversely affected due to environmental degradation. He also suggested an online version of the publication. The tabloid will basically cater to the needs of the young brigade of the North-east, said a press release.
