Tablets distributed to students in Garo Hills

TURA, Feb 12 � Meghalaya Chief Minister Mukul Sangma has mooted the idea for establishment of a flying school in the State. He further stated that there were ample jobs available and hoped the youth of the State would take advantage of them.

The CM was addressing a gathering at the distribution of tablets to Class XII students of West Garo Hills here under the CM�s Digital Learning Aid Scheme. The CM also handed over selection letters to students for medical and engineering entrance examination.

The digital learning aid programme was launched in the State in 2012. In the eleven districts of the State, over 50,000 tablets have been distributed so far.

The programme today saw the distribution of over 5000 tablets. The function was also attended by Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Zenith Sangma, chief advisor to the government DD Lapang and AICC secretary in-charge of Meghalaya, Narayan Swamy.

The CM�s career guidance scheme aims to impart coaching and career guidance from upper primary to graduation level. It also imparts coaching for various competitive and entrance examinations.
