Syeda clinches double crown in Dhemaji tennis

GUWAHATI, Jan 22 - Syeda Jansheen Jumana clinched double crown in the 5th Dhemaji Open Tennis Championship which came to an end today.

Syeda won the girls U-18 and U-14 titles defeating Rimi Taye and Swastyayana S Saikia respectively.

The championship was organised by the Dhemaji Tennis Club under the auspices of the All Assam Tennis Association at the Dhemaji Tennis Club courts.

Final results: (Boys U-18) Shahir Farhaz beat Roktim Saikia 6-2, 6-3; (Boys U-14) Siddhant Deka beat Aman Buragohain 6-4, 6-1; (Boys U-12) Antariksh Tamuly beat Aryan Borah 4-2, 4-3; (Girls U-18) Syeda Jansheen Jumana beat Rimi Taye 4-0, 4-0; (Girls U-14) Syeda Jansheen Jumana beat Swastyayana S Saikia 4-1, 4-1; (Veteran singles) Priyanku Kapil Borpujari beat Hakim Ali 6-5, 6-4; (Veteran doubles) Amrit Chutia/Prinku K Borpujari beat Rajib Handique/Hakim Ali.
