TEZPUR, Dec 4 - As per a directive of the Gauhati High Court and as part of implementation of the Swachhta Action Plan for the year 2017-18 and 2018-19, the local judiciary in association with the District Legal Services Authority of Sonitpur observed a 15-day programme christened �Swachhta Pakhwada� that came to an end on November 29 last.
During the Pakhwada, a massive cleanliness drive was conducted on November 28 by the judicial officers and staff of Sonitpur judiciary in the court complex here.
The programme was formally inaugurated by the district and session judge of Sonitpur, Ashok Kumar Borah. Along with other dignitaries, the event was participated in by additional district and session judge Darak Ullah, civil judge and assistant session judge Munmun B Sharma, chief judicial magistrate Rashmita Das, additional chief judicial magistrate Kaushik Kumar Sharma, Asma Rahman, Puja Sinha, Jahnabi Hazarika, Juhi Gogoi, Diganta Goswami, Sparshita Garg and Neha Saikia.
Similar cleanliness drives were undertaken by judicial officials and staff at Biswanath Chariali and Gohpur court complexes too.
