Dhaka, June 25 (IANS):India's External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will meet Opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) chief Khaleda Zia on Friday.
The BNP chairperson�s press secretary Maruf Kamal Khan announced this at a press conference on Tuesday night, bdnews24.com reported.
He said the place and time would be announced later.
Swaraj is coming to Dhaka on a three-day official visit on Wednesday.
�The BNP wants to maintain a friendly relationship with India. Former (Bangladesh) prime minister Khaleda Zia met Swaraj in October 2013 while visiting India,� Khan said.
�The BNP hopes that under the newly elected government in New Delhi, the relations between the two countries will flourish. We hope that the change that happened in India in a democratic election will open new horizons in Bangladesh.�
