NEW DELHI, July 9 Contrary to the claims made by the Assam Government, the States economy seems to be in the doldrums, with Assam recording the lowest average Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP).
According to the economic survey (2013-2014), tabled by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in both the Houses of Parliament, Bihar has emerged as the best performing state at 15.1 per cent, while the average national GSDP is 4.5 per cent.
