Support to nationwide pharmacy strike

GUWAHATI, Sept 25 - The Assam Drug Dealers� Association (ADDA) has extended support to the 24-hour nationwide pharmacy closure strike on September 28 called by the All India Organisation of Chemists and Druggists (AIOCD). An ADDA statement said that on the day of the strike two pharmacies near each hospital of the State will remain open for emergency service. The AIOCD has called the strike against the government�s move to initiate online trading of life-saving medicines in the country.

Meanwhile, the united forum of all trade organisations of the State today extended its support to the 24-hour Bharat Trade Bandh on September 28 called by the Confederation of All India Traders demanding an immediate stop to the Walmart deal and a ban on FDI in e-commerce or retail trade of the country.
