GUWAHATI, Sept 23 - The matches of the RG Baruah Super Division Football League of Guwahati Sports Association had to be called off due to unplayable ground condition.

Ganga SC was to play Food Corporation of India (FCI) SC which was counted to be the most vital one for both the teams as far as relegation to the A Division is concerned.

A draw will save Ganga SC while the FCI team has to win the match as in goal difference they are far behind of their opponent. Now both the teams have seven points each. Ganga SC has scored seven goals against 13 they conceded, goal difference is six while FCI conceded 21 and scored six, goal difference is 15.

Due to incessant rain the ground condition became unfit for play and the organisers GSA had no alternative but to cancel both the matches. In the other match of the day, Gauhati Town Club was to play against Sunrise Athletic Club which is of academic interest only as both the teams have escaped relegation with 10 points each.
