Sunfeast Cup begins

GUWAHATI, Sept 22: The Guwahati chapter of the North East Sunfeast Cup Football tournament kicked off today at the Nehru Stadium here. Five matches were played today in the U-16 category. APRO GFCC beat Lokhora CC 2-1 in the inaugural match in the morning. Sanjeev Das scored both the goals. Gaidilu FC got walk over against Narengi Anchalic School; Betkuchi High School beat GTC 1-0,Noonmati FC beat NFR CC 2-1, Morning Club FC beat National Public School 3-2 in tiebreaker. In the next round, APRO GFCC beat Royal Global School by a solitary goal scored by Dipankar Das to enter the quarterfinals.
