Students showcase talent at Bosco Tech Fest

GUWAHATI, Sept 15 - The Second Bosco Tech Fest of the School of Technology, which is a constituent of the Assam Don Bosco University as a social commitment programme, gave a common platform to the students of various schools of Assam to showcase their talents recently.

The Bosco Tech Fest was inaugurated by Anil Kapoor, MD of Topcem Cement in presence of Fr Joseph Nellanatt, Pro-VC of ADBU and other eminent personalities, a delayed press release said.

The science project competition titled �SciFare�, saw the participation of six teams from different schools from across the State. The complexity of the project ranged on many new scientific concepts.

Out of the many projects exhibited by different schools, Don Bosco School, Panbazar bagged the first and second prizes, while Chamata HS School was awarded the third prize.

The All Assam Bos-Quiz (junior) competition also received good response with 17 teams participating in the screening round, out of which six teams were shortlisted to appear in the final round of the contest.

Quiz master Rajiv Phukan conducted the Bos Quiz Junior 2015 and DPS, Guwahati, emerged champions. The runners-up for the second and third positions was Don Bosco Sr Secondary School, Panbazar.
