GUWAHATI, Sept 24 - The All Assam Students� Union (AASU) along with several indigenous organisations of the State will stage a demonstration in front of the Raj Bhawan here on October 11 to press for Constitutional safeguards of the indigenous people.
AASU and the indigenous bodies will also hold another agitational programme on October 9-10 over the demand for an error-free NRC, without the names of foreign nationals. The organisations said they would meet the Deputy Commissioners of all the districts asking them to form dedicated groups for the NRC update work.
