GUWAHATI, Nov 5 � City boy Orijit Chaliha and Pragyan Jyoti Gogoi of Nagaon have been selected by Badminton Association of India (bai) to represent India in the scg Badminton Asia Junior Championships to be held in Bangkok from November 11 to 15.

This event is organised by the Badminton Confederation of Asia (abc) and is approved by the Badminton World Federation (bwf). The tournament will comprise teams from Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Bahrain, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Nepal, India and hosts Thailand. The BAI will field Indian teams in both U-15 U-17 age groups. Orijit will play in the U-15 singles and Pragyan is in the U-15 doubles team. Both the shuttlers are of Assam Badminton Academy.
