DIBRUGARH, March 3 � Ningshi Block Hazarika of Dibrugarh and Pooja D of Andhra Pradesh won the U-19 girls� doubles title in the 23rd Krishna Khaitan All India Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament held at Punjab University, Chandigarh from February 23 to 28. In the final Ningshi and Pooja duo defeated Karnataka pair Mahima Agarwal and Shikha Gautam with a score of 21-16, 21-19.

Local girl Ningshi is a trainee of Pullela Gopichand Academy in Hyderabad since last November. She is ranked 6th in national U-19 junior girls� doubles. Earlier, Ningshi won bronze medal in U-17 girls� doubles in the 38th Junior National Badminton Championship last year with Ashmita Chaliha.
