GUWAHATI, June 25 � The Don Bosco All Assam Major Ranking Table Tennis Championships will be held at the Nihal Singh Thakur Hall, Don Bosco School, here under the auspices of Assam Table Tennis Association (ATTA), Don Bosco Alumni and under the guidance of the Guwahati Sports Association from July 6 to 8.

This is the first Major Ranking Tournament of this year. The opening ceremony will be held at 8 am on July 6 while the closing function will be held at 5 pm on July 8.

More than 300 paddlers from all the affiliated districts are expected to participate in the championships.

For smooth conduct of the tournament, ATTA has nominated Subrajit Singha of Golaghat and Rajdeep Bhuyan of Dibrugarh as observers for the championships. Gobinda Upadhaya of Guwahati will be the chief referee of the championships and he will be assisted by Biman Bhagaboti of Sivasagar, Chandan Goswami of Nawgaon and Bhaskar Sarma of Guwahati.

Altogether 12 individual events will be held from cadet level to senior level for both men and women category including veteran event. The last date for receiving the entries is on June 28, informed ATTA secretary Tridib Duvarah in a release.
