GUWAHATI, Feb 17 � Assam clinched eight medals, including four gold in the East India Power Lifting Championship held in Kolkata from February 11 to 13. Rekha Rabha (44kg) and Minati Dihingia (52kg) won gold in the women�s category while Pranjal Dutta (52kg) and Rajesh Sukraware (956kg) clinched gold in the men�s section. Rajesh, an employee of Department of Post, Assam Circle, was adjudged Strong Man of the championship.
Other medal winners were: Subhasis Nath (82.5kg, silver), Ratuldra Das (60kg), Anjan Bujar Baruah (75kg), Pinku Changmai (90kg, all bronze). The Assam team also became second best team in the meet.
