GUWAHATI, Sept 11 � L Thoinu Chanu of Assam has been picked to represent the Indian sepak takraw team in the forthcoming Asian Games to be held at Incheon, South Korea from September 19.

Informing this, Assam Sepak Takraw Association secretary Bishnuram Nunisa said in a press note that Thoinu was selected from the Indian team�s selection camp held at Hyderabad. Hailing from Lakhipur of Cachar district, Thoinu is the first sepak takraw player from Assam to be selected for the Asian Games. She will compete in the team and regu events, stated Nunisa.
