GUWAHATI, Jan 23 - Assam will participate in the 79th Senior National and Inter State Table Tennis Championship to be held at Ranchi from January 25-30.
The Assam Table Tennis Association (ATTA) has selected 10 players to take part in the meet while another five will participate in the open event.
AHM Ali and Govinda Upadhaya will accompany the team as manager and coach respectively, stated a release.
The selected paddlers are: (Women) Trisha Gogoi, Kritika Upadhaya, Gargee Goswami, Jitakhee Mazumdar (all Guwahati), Adrija Sarma (OIL). (Men) Sahidul Alam Ahmed, Agniv Bhaskar Gohain (both Dibrugarh), Sankab Gautam Baruah, Birdie Boro (both OIL), Aditya Dey (Guwahati).
Players to participate in open event: Shirely Baruah, Chaya Snigdha Nath, Sneha Bhowmick, Aleeko Sujalo Hazarika, Hrishikesh Bora.
ATTA meet: The Assam Table Tennis Association will hold an executive committee meeting here on January 28 at 10am to discuss various matters of the organisation.
