By Correspondent

DHUBRI, July 12 - Judicial employees all over the State will go on an agitation mode over non-fulfilment of demands, which include implementation of the recommendations of the Justice Shetty Commission as well as the report of the Anomaly Committee.

It was resolved in a general meeting of All Assam Judicial Employees Association, held recently in Guwahati, that all judicial workers of the State would wear black badges on July 26 without hampering official works, to push for fulfilment of their demands.

Ananta Prasad, general secretary of the association, said that in spite of several representations and memoranda submitted to the State Government and the Gauhati High Court regarding their demands, there has been no positive outcome. Without taking to stirs, our demands will not be fulfilled. So we have decided to wear black badges in the first phase of our proposed agitation. This will be followed by other demonstrations, he added.

The general secretary of the judicial employees association stated that they have been demanding the implementation of the recommendations of the Justice Shetty Commission under which various judicial employees should get 5 per cent of the basic pay as duty allowance in Lok Adalats as well as salary increments. He added that the Anomaly Committee has also recommended similar increments. But no attention has been paid to these demands, he complained.
