GUWAHATI, July 11 - The ad-hoc committee of the All Assam Chess Association has named the 10-member State team for the 29th National U-11 Open and Girls Chess Championship to be held at Pondicherry, from July 13 to 21.

A total amount of Rs 1,75,000 is on offer in this 11 round Swiss League official event organised under the aegis of All India Chess Federation.

The top two players from the open and girls category of this tournament will be selected to represent India in the Asian and World U-12 Chess Championship next year, stated a release.

The Assam team (Open): Devabarenya Gogoi, Aayan Iqbal Hazarika, Manthan Kashyap Dutta, Rishabh Singh, Dhrupad Kashyap, Abinash Pritam Gogoi, Bhabisnu Pranti Bordoloi. (Girls) Tanisha AR Som, Anoushka Priyam. Coach: Arun Som.
