IMPHAL, Aug 4 - The State Cabinet meeting has decided to approach Governor Dr Najma Heptulla to convene the 8th session of the 11th Manipur Legislative Assembly from August 26, according to official sources in Imphal.
Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh chaired the meeting which was attended by all the ministers of the BJP-led coalition government.
The 7th session of the 11th Manipur Legislative Assembly was adjourned sine die on March 4 this year before it was prorogued by the Governor on July 25. So, the State Assembly�s Business Advisory Committee would decide how many days the session would last.
The meeting also reportedly discussed about strictly monitoring of the private schools which have been mushrooming in the State.
