By Spl Correspondent

NEW DELHI, April 20 - The Sarbananda Sonowal government is likely to be expanded soon with the BJPs central leadership on Friday clearing the expansion proposal.

The issue of ministry expansion was discussed at a meeting held at the plush BJP headquarters here this afternoon, which was chaired by BJP national president Amit Shah and attended by general secretary in-charge for Northeast Ram Madhav and Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and State Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Emerging from the hour-long meeting, Sarma hinted at the possibility of the expansion soon. Expect some news in a day or two, he told waiting newsmen.

As reported, there are eight vacancies in the Sonowal government and indications are that the Chief Minister may fill up six of them. At least one berth each may go to alliance partner AGP and BPF.
