State BJP ultimatum to Pradyut

By Staff Reporter

GUWAHATI, June 1 Strongly reacting to Power Minister Pradyut Bordolois remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in connection to the power scenario in the State, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Assam Pradesh on Sunday served a 24-hour ultimatum to the Minister to withdraw his remarks.

The Power Minister today blamed the Narendra Modi government for the miserable power scenario here and said that the BJP-led government at the Centre has already started acting in a discriminating way against Assam. State BJP leader Adip Phukan describing the remarks of the Power Minister as very ridiculous said that the power situation in the State had gone from bad to worse in the last decade and the inefficient Congress government in the State had failed to initiate any measure to address the situation and provide succour to the power consumers.

The Power Minister has made himself a laughing stock of the community by blaming the Narendra Modi government for the power situation in the State. Who is the Power Minister trying to fool? Consumers in the State have been experiencing the worst discomfort because of the erratic and poor quality of power supply over the years, said Phukan adding that Bordoloi was trying to mislead the people by taking recourse to lies.
