KOKRAJHAR, March 31 State BJP president Siddartha Bhattacharjee on Monday attended election meetings at Saktiashram and Maldangpara in Kokrajhar district to campaign for party candidates contesting these seats.

Addressing a gathering at the Maldangpara Field in the BTC headquarters here, the State BJP chief said that although the BJP Government in its earlier term played a key role in the process of creation of the BTC, the BTC administration has failed to maintain a clean image to fulfil the hopes and aspirations of the people of the area even after a period of ten years and there have been several instances of inequality and disparity. Lack of development and good governance have turned the BTAD into a place of conflict. He stated that the BJP would seek the peoples mandate in the council election with a commitment to provide good governance and development to implement Modis vision of Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas.

Former Lok Sabha MP Sansuma Khungur Bwismuthiary also attended the BJPs election meeting at Maldangpara and addressed the gathering. In his speech, he focused on the issues of large-scale corruption and terror unleashed on the people by Hagramas regime. He also appealed to the voters to elect BJP candidates in the constituency as a mark of protest against the misrule in the BTC.

He said that the BPFs 10-year reign witnessed large- scale killings and atrocities, disturbing peace and normalcy in the area and leading to the death of people from several communities. So the people must realise the necessity of bringing the BJP into power in the BTC, he said.

Manaj Kumar Brahma and Samarendra Brahma, candidates from the Banargaon and Debargaon constituencies, also addressed the gathering and appealed to the people to vote for the BJP for the all-round development of the region.
