Start-up conclave held in Dibrugarh

DIBRUGARH, Nov 6 - Aveza 1.0, the start-up conclave and competitive event under AUXESIS v 9.0, the Techo-Cultural and Management fest of Dibrugarh University Institute of Engineering and Technology (DUIET), was held on November 2 and 3, in collaboration with the start-up cell, TEQIP III (a MHRD-funded project) at DUIET and NRL, a release stated.

The event was inaugurated by Professor Dipak Chetia, Dean, Research and Development of Dibrugarh University. Dr H Purushottam, CMD of National Research Development Corporation addressed the students in the start-up conclave held at Dibrugarh University Institute of Engineering and Technology here. He spoke about the thriving Indian Start-up Eco System and how the Central Government was promoting start-ups all over the country.

Besides Dr Purushottam, the other mentors were Yugansh Chokra, founder of Shopnani (young serial entrepreneur); Dharmendra Kalita, founder and CEO of The Rook India; Kamal Kishore Kumawat, co-founder and Director of Edgistify and mentor at Desai Sethi Centre of Entrepreneurship at IIT Bombay; Pranab Jyoti Das, Independent Associate to Vestige Marketing Private Limited; and Prasad Shetty, Manager of Portfolio at Society of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, IIT Bombay.

They enlightened the audience, comprising mostly engineering students, about start-up techniques and success mantras.

The event concluded with the prize distribution ceremony.
