SSB win Upen Brahma Gold Cup

UDALGURI, Oct 5 - Sasashtra Seema Bal (SSB) of Ranidanga, Darjeeling emerged champions in the 23rd Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma Gold Cup Football Tournament.

In the final played at the Udalguri Stadium here today, the Darjeeling team defeated Langhin Football Club of Diphu by a clear margin of 2-0 goals.

SSB striker Ajeet was the man behind the victory as he netted both the goals in the 19th and 66th minutes respectively. The Langhin boys put up a spirited show through out the course but due to lack of accuracy in shooting of their front liners they failed to find the target.

Mallik Asit Kumar of SSB was adjudged the best player while Bibiwel Bey of Langhin FC received the most promising player award.
