SSB music competition ends

GUWAHATI, July 4 - A music competition �Voice of the Frontiers� organised by paramilitary force SSB concluded at the Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra yesterday evening.

The chief guest of the programme was State DGP Mukesh Sahay, who was accompanied by Sangeeta Sahay, president of the Assam Police Wives Welfare Association.

Four judges � BD Sharma, ex-DG of SSB, Bhupen Uzir, music director, and popular singers Santa Uzir and JP Das � conducted the contest, that comprised five participants in each of the three categories, i.e., children, female and male.

The �Voice of Frontiers� also showcased a Bihu dance by SSB personnel and rendering of a patriotic number Taqat Watan Ki Humse by SSB, BSF and ITBP.

The rendition from the judges and singers Malavika Borah, Sandhya Menon and Anil Negi, Inspector General of SSB enthralled the audience.

The winners received trophies and cheques from the guests, Sangeeta Sahay, Ameeta Negi, regional president, Sandiksha, and DGP Sahay. The judges were honoured with mementos.
