JALUKBARI, May 28 - Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Frontier Headquarters, Guwahati, conducted a cleanliness drive under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan at the Kamakhya Temple yesterday. The drive was part of the �Swachh Bharat Pakhwada� being organised from May 16 to May 31.
About 120 members of the force, including officers and members of Sandiksha (SSB Wives Welfare Association), along with the temple staff, participated in the cleanliness drive.
The drive was held in coordination with Praveen Sharma, member of the Kamakhya Temple Board. A number of dustbins were placed within the temple premises.
Anil Negi, Inspector General, Frontier Headquarters, Guwahati, spoke on the importance of cleanliness for healthy living.
During the ongoing Swachh Bharat Pakhwada, SSB, Frontier, Guwahati, has already covered Games Village, Borsojai; Mother�s Old Age Home, Bamunimaidam; Guwahati Blind High School, Basistha; Primary Govt High School, Sonapur and Sishugram Orphanage Home for Girl Child, North Guwahati.
