JORHAT, Jan 5 � Debajyoti Srutikar was unanimously selected as the secretary of the Jorhat District Table Tennis Association at the association�s annual general meeting held at the here on Sunday, a press release said.
In the meeting, an 18-member committee was formed with Zakir Ahmed as president, Pawan Jallan as treasurer, five vice- presidents, two assistant secretaries and eight executive members. The meeting also accepted unanimously the secretarial and financial reports submitted by the outgoing secretary Nayan Jyoti Sarma and treasurer Debajyoti Srutikar, respectively.
Srutikar, who has been involved in organisational activities for promotion of table tennis in the district since 1986, thanked the members for his selection and pledged to do everything in his capacity to take the game forward in the district as well the State.
