Sporadic violence in Baksa reported

BARAMA, Aug 11 � In spite of curfew being imposed in Baksa sporadic incidents were reported following which tension is prevailing in the eastern part of Baksa district.

According to the report available here the situation took a new turn at Charaguri under Kaurbaha police outpost when a group of miscreants attacked a police vehicle on Friday night injuring two persons. Further, the body of a business man Mukut Ali (35) of Ouguri village who was missing since July 25 was recovered from Hirakata on the Puthimari river.

In another incident, a group of around 50 to 60 miscreants blocked the road and attempted to attack a police party which was accompanying some people at Charaguri village on Friday. Two persons namely Nababuddin Ali and Subhash Kalita driver of the vehicle were seriously injured in the scuffle and both were immediately shifted to a hospital at Goreswar. Later, police controlled the situation.
