GUWAHATI, Aug 28 - Like previous years, Maligaon-headquartered Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has made arrangements for operating special trains to cater with extra rush of passengers during the Durga Puja season.
This time the NFR will run 28 trips of Puja special trains from various locations.
NFR Chief Public Relations Officer PJ Sharma said that among them arrangements have been made to run 10 trips of weekly special trains between Kamakhya and Sealdah.
The weekly special train bearing number 02262 will leave Kamakhya at 8.30 pm on October 17, October 24, October 31, November 7, and November 14, while the weekly Puja special trains bearing number 02261 will leave Sealdah at 12.30 am on October 17, October 24, October 31, November 7 and November 14.
The train will have AC 1st class, AC 2-tier, AC 3-tier accommodations and pantry car facilities. The special train will run via Goalpara Town, New Coochbehar, Kishanganj and Malda Town on both ways.
Ticket booking has already started. Passengers are requested to contact nearest PRS centre for more details.
