GUWAHATI, Sept 14 - To cater to the increasing demand for tickets during the Durga Puja holidays, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has started operating special trains between Naharlagun (Itanagar) and Dekargaon (Tezpur) on an experimental basis between September 10 and November 30.
This is in addition to the normal train services between the two stations. Accordingly, train No. 05618 will leave from Naharlagun daily at 8 am to arrive at Dekargaon at 1:30 pm, while train No. 05617 will leave Dekargaon at 2:15 pm and arrive at Naharlagun at 7:15 pm.
The train will stop at Rangapara North, Balipara, Nizchatia, Bishwanath Chariali, Helem, Gohpur, Tatibahar, Harmuti and Gumto stations and has AC 2-tier, AC 3-tier, sleeper class and general second class accommodations.
