Special trains for festive season

GUWAHATI, Oct 7 � The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) today said it is operating 14 pair long-distance special trains to cope with the extra rush of passengers during the Puja/Diwali season.

NFR officials said six of them are premium special trains, while the other eight are non-premium trains and they will operate till the end of October or middle/end of November.

Among the special trains are the 02503/02504 Kamakhya-New Delhi-Kamakhya Weekly Premium Special which will depart from Kamakhya every Wednesday (till November 12) and from New Delhi every Thursday (till November 13), the 02510/02509 Kamakhya-Bangalore Cantonment-Kamakhya Weekly Premium Special which will depart every Saturday from Kamakhya (till November 15) and from Bangalore Cantonment every Tuesday (till October 18), and the 02512/02511 Kamakhya-Pune-Kamakhya Weekly Premium Special which will depart from Kamakhya every Monday (till November 10) and from Pune every Tuesday (till November 11).

Besides, the 02262/02261 Guwahati-Sealdah-Guwahati Weekly Premium Special will depart both ways every Saturday till November 11, while the 00641/00642 Kamakhya Trivandrum Weekly Premium Special will leave from Kamakhya every Tuesday (till October 21) and from Trivandrum every Saturday (till October 18).

In addition, NFR is operating weekly non-Premium special trains in the Dibrugarh-Kolkata-Dibrugarh, Guwahati-Gaurakhpur-Guwahati, Kamakhya-Bhagat Ki Kothi-Kamakhya, Kamakhya-Katra, Guwahati-Kochuveli-Guwahati and Guwahati-Secunderabad-Guwahati sections.
