GUWAHATI, April 28 � Assam Legislative Assembly Speaker Pranab Kumar Gogoi will be the �Guest of the Month� of Guwahati Press Club tomorrow. The interactive programme will begin at 11.30 am. The veteran Congress leader is expected to speak on various burning issues relating to the State.
Born in Sivasagar, Gogoi was involved with the Youth Congress since his early days. He was first elected to the Assam Legislative Assembly in 2001 and continued his winning spree in 2006 and 2011 Assembly polls. A law graduate, Gogoi was also president of the Sivasagar Bar Association (1998-2002). His hobbies include listening to classical music as well Assamese songs and he has a special interest in gardening.
