South Point lift cricket title

GUWAHATI, June 11 � South Point School lifted the City Challenge Inter School Cricket Tournament at the Dispur playground here today. In the final, South Point defeated Kendriya Vidyalaya Khanapara (KVK) by 3 wickets.

South Point won the toss and elected to field. KVK piled up 125 all out. In reply, South Point hit the winning runs in 20.3 overs losing 7 wickets. Debabrata Shil of South Point was adjudged man of the match and the man of the tournament was bagged by South Point�s Joydeep Singh. The best batsman title went to Subham Goyal of Army School and best bowler title was bagged by Debabrata Shil.

Brief scores: KVK 125 all out (Abhirup Bhattarcharya 32, Bokul Rabha 23; Debabrata Shil 3/16, Joydeep Singh 3/22). South Point 126 for 7 (Debabrata Shil 32; Abhirup Bhattarcharya 2/45, Bokul Rabha 2/18).
