GUWAHATI, May 31 - South Point School and Basugaon HS School cruised into the semifinals of the 14th Dhansena Sinha Memorial All Assam Inter School Prize Money Cricket Tournament.
In two quarterfinal matches played at the Latasil playground here today, South Point prevailed over Pragjyotish English School by 91 runs while in the other match Basugaon HSS edged past Don Bosco School by one wicket.
Brief scores: South Point 170/8 (Shivam Mittal 49, Riyan Parag 30, Sayan Dey 25, Sohail Ali 3/30, Sudarshan Sinha 2/34). Pragjyotish English School 79 (Sohail Ali 27, Dibakar Gowala 17, Pritam Pran Kalita 3/22, Shivam Mittal 2/6, Saranga Jyoti Deka 2/7).
