NEW DELHI, Nov 24 Union Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs Sarbananda Sonowal today attacked the Tarun Gogoi government following an incident of bomb blast in Rajgarh in Dibrugarh district yesterday, alleging that the State Government has failed to protect the life and property of the people of the State.

Claiming that the Centre is closely monitoring the situation in Assam, Sonowal alleged total collapse of law and order in the State. Yesterdays blast has proved the kind of situation prevailing in the State, he said.

Moving on to another issue, Sonowal alleged that Gogoi Government has not been able to take steps to detect and deport illegal Bangladeshi immigrants.

The Union Minister further claimed that the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre is committed to implementing the Assam Accord.
