GOLAGHAT, Oct 26 � The Golaghat Students� Union organised a rally here on October 21 urging the Central Government to take immediate action against terrorist organisations including fundamentalist groups like the al-Qaeda, to implement the Assam Accord, to seal the Indo-Bangla border, to provide constitutional safeguards to the indigenous people of the State etc. Writer Keshab Saikia, ex-principal A Padma Lochan Bhuyan, Anisur Rahman, journalist Deepen Dutta, Jatin Bora, Purna Rajkhowa, Monowar Hussain, State member AASU, Raju Phukan, Dadul Bora, Abhibartan Goswami general secretary, Bipul Chutiya were present in the rally.
A memorandum was also submitted to the Prime Minister of India and to the Chief minister of Assam.
