DIMAPUR, Nov 18 - Noted social worker and executive director of Nagaland Peace Centre Lhusi Haralu passed away at her home here yesterday. She was 83.
Mother of Bano Haralu, former editor of a local English daily published from Dimapur, Lhusi Haralu was an dedicated social worker and served in various offices like Nagaland State Social Welfare Advisory Board, Nagaland Council for Child Welfare, Family Planning Association of India (Kohima branch), etc.
Nagaland Chief Minister TR Zeliang has expressed deep shock and pain over the demise of Haralu. Late Haralu was firm in her beliefs for peace and social justice, Zeliang said in his condolence message.
