GAURIPUR, Aug 31 - The Gauripur Nagarik Samiti, in a meeting held on the premises of the Public Library here recently, accorded warm felicitation to social activist Biju Kumar Jain for his significant contribution towards improving the dilapidated roads in Gauripur town.
The felicitation meeting was chaired by Bijoy Singh Chararia, president of the Nagarik Samiti. The objective of the programme was stated by Paresh Chandra Ray, secretary general of the Nagarik Samiti.
The meeting was addressed by Jhimli Dutta Devi, chairperson, Gauripur Town Committee, Ashoka Chakrabarty, retired principal, PC Institution, Satyabrat Chakrabarty, president, Gauripur Sahitya Sabha branch, Karen Ray, Prabir Kumar Barua, Sabuj Chakrabarty and others.
All the speakers appreciated the untiring efforts of Jain in developing the town with the help of local MLA BK Mushahary. Jain, in his speech, expressed his gratitude for the love and affection shown towards him by the people and sought their blessings so that he could serve them better.
