IMPHAL, Feb 9 � Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industries Nirmala Sitharaman arrived here this afternoon on a two-day visit to Manipur.
Thereafter, the Union Minister along with Manipur Commerce and Industries Minister Gobindas Konthoujam inspected the ongoing construction of the Trade-cum-Permanent Exhibition Centre at Lamboikhongnangkhong, about 3 km west of Imphal.
She also called upon Chief Minister Okram Ibobi at around 4 pm, official sources said.
On Tuesday, the Union Minister is scheduled to fly to Kakching in a helicopter and inspect the Timber Park Special Economic Zone project at Kuraopokpi.
