NORTH GUWAHATI, Aug 18 - In a largely-attended public meeting held on the premises of Auniati Kamal Dev Higher Secondary School with the mouzadar of the Silasinduri revenue circle, Ratul Boruah in the chair, the Government of India�s site selection committee was urged to approve the lands offered by the Government of Assam from four revenue villages amounting to 571 bighas, 2 katha 15 lesa. The lands offered at North Guwahati would be most suitable for the construction of the prestigious medical institution in Assam, the speakers stressed.

The meeting was addressed by several persons including Amulya Bora, chairman-incharge, Umesh Sarmah, Gauri Kakoti, Bharat Rajbongshi, Munin Deka, Durlov Nath, Robin Changkakati, Dhaneswar Deka, Simanta Deka, Biswajit Boruah, Madhusudon Medhi etc. The meeting in a resotution urged the Government to expedite the construction works at the selected site soon.
