DHUBRI, Dec 22 - The 4th Grade employees of Dhubri division of State Irrigation Department on Tuesday sat on a sit-in-demonstration demanding immediate payment of their salaries at the premises of the office.
According to the protesters, their salaries are due since September, 2020 and this has brought immense financial hardships to their families. They also demanded pension for retired employees and gratuity. They warned that if their demands were not met, they will intensify their protest.
