Sishu Utsav in Barpeta dist from today

GUWAHATI, June 30 - Sirva Siksha Abhiyan, Barpeta has taken the initiative in organising Children Festival, 2018, named �Sishu Utsav� in all the primary and upper primary schools of the district, a press release stated.

It is a 10-day summer festival to be organised from July 1. The main objective of organising Sishu Utsav is to create a joyful platform for children to play, learn and grow together. The 10- day festival will be purely devoted to activity-based learning. Various activities to be initiated during Sishu Utsav are light exercises, games and sports, both scholastic and co- scholastic activities, art and craft works, cleanliness drive and plantation, field visits to local institutions, learning by doing and story telling sessions. Schools have also been instructed to organise exhibitions on various activities carried out by the children, on the last day of the Sishu Utsav, the release added.

The Sarva Siksha Abhiyan, Barpeta, has appealed to all the government schools of the district to take keen interest and active participation in this initiative.
