BOKAKHAT, Feb 18 � Silchar sailed into the final of the U-17 RG Baruah Inter-District Cricket Championship with a 102-run victory against Nagaon here today.
Resuming their first innings at the overnight total of 8 for eight, Nagaon were all out for 81. In the second innings, Silchar scored 126 in 56.5. Requiring 103 for an outright victory in the second innings, Nagaon were again bundled for 85.
In the final on February 21 and 22, Silchar will take on Guwahati which defeated Nalbari by six wickets in the other semifinal at Karimganj on February 16 and 17.
Brief scores: Silchar 142 and 126 (Kaushik Giri 45, Prasenjit Sarkar 23, Javed Khureshi 5/40, Bikash Singh Nath 3/19). Nagaon 81 and 85 (Raj Bora 50).
