GUWAHATI, Feb 20 � In the last group league match of the Bud Cricket Club organised Jugal Kishore Newatia Cricket Tournament at the Nehru Stadium here today, Silchar District Sports Association earned a 32-run victory agsinst Red Bulls Cricket Club of Dimapur.

Electing to bat first the Silchar boys scored a commendable 190 for seven in 40 overs and in reply Dimapur team was all out for 158 in 33.5 overs.

Brief scores: Silchar DSA 190/7 (Ekramul Ali 38, Raihan J Mazumdar 35, Mosarob H Laskar 29, Imliwali Lemtur 2/23, Vicky 2/35, Hanse 2/35, Badal Das 2/38). Red Bulls 158 (Vicky Hanse 50, Badal Das 28, Prakash Bhagat 4/21, Sabir Laskar 3/44, Raihan J Mazumder 2/24).

Today�s match (S/F): Bud A vs Bud B.

Corporate cricket gets under way

GUWAHATI, Feb 20: The 2nd GTC LNJ Corporate Champions League got under way at the Judges� Field here last evening.

Altogether six corporate teams namely-Gateway Grandeur Royals, Terra Maya, Corner Kick Killers, Rooby Stars, News Live Riders and defending champions, Mangalam Monks are vying for the gliterring Laxmi Narayan Jalan Trophy along with prize money worth Rs10 lakh. The final of the 11-day T20 championship is slated for March 1, stated a release.

In the inaugural match Rooby Stars outplayed Corner Kick Killers by 92 runs.

In reply to Rooby Stars� 153, Corner Kick was all out for 61.
