By Correspondent

ITANAGAR, Dec 2 - Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang called on Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu at the latters office premises here on Monday, and held discussions on tourism prospects.

The two sides agreed on sharing knowledge and methods to help each other promote tourism in both states.

Khandu said his state has so much to learn from Sikkim and expressed hope that Sikkims success in development of tourism, hydropower and agriculture sectors could be emulated in Arunachal Pradesh.

He said both the states were poised for growth as the Central government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was giving special attention to the North East with Union ministers paying regular visits to the region. He also shared the concerns of his Sikkim counterpart, expressing that the criteria of Central funding for development projects should not be based on the criteria of population.
