Sibra�s brace gives NF Rly full points

GUWAHATI, Sept 15 - Skipper Sibra Narzary�s brace helped Northeast Frontier Railway Sports Club (NFRSC) earn full points against Ganga SC in an one-sided affair at the RG Baruah Super Division Football League, organised by the Guwahati Sports Association, at the Nehru Stadium here today.

With this win, the former champions ended their preliminary round campaign with 12 points from 7 matches and maintained the third spot in the standings. Debutante Ganga SC finished with 4 points and they will fight in relegation round.

Sibra netted the first goal in the 21st minute from a calculated cross of Sasangka Chanda. Striker Sankar Sil missed a golden chance to double the lead in the 34th minute from the spot. Ganga captain Olatunde Timoth was sent off by referee in the 35th minute.

The railmen finally increase the lead in the 56th minute through Sibra, who scored from a Chayaram Basumatary�s centre pass.

A Division: Assam Police Blues thrashed City Police 5-1 in a Jibeswar Goswami A Division League match today at Ground 2 of the Nehru Stadium and moved to the top position in points table with 17 points.

Dynamo Club is in the second spot with 15 points. Sanjay Rabha (20th, 49th minutes), Karuna Goyari (35th min), Monoj Boro (58th min) and Malaram Basumatary (71st) scored for the AP Blues, while Pranjit Sarki netted the only goal for City Police in the 41st minute.
