By STAFF REPORTER

GUWAHATI, March 8 - Aaranyak, a society working for biodiversity conservation and environmental protection in the North East, released a short film named Women Power of Aaranyak today, presenting an example of its women groups engaged in Nature conservation and environmental protection and their contribution towards attaining the mission of the organisation.

Having completed 27 years, Aaranyak has been able to work in the field of biodiversity research and conservation not only in India but also globally, carving a niche for itself in this area. Aaranyak has women engagement in all areas of work, whether it is research, conservation, education, public relations or day-to-day office management. Having provided a good platform for women engagement towards the conservation of biodiversity, Aaranyaks women power is already bringing national and international accolades to the organisation and to the region, it said in a statement.

The film has been made by the newly launched Media Production & Communications Division of Aaranyak to present the contributions of all women in biodiversity conservation at a time when it is rare to come across women who chose to make their career in such a challenging field.

The film is now available on the official YouTube Channel of Aaranyak as well as published in the online magazine NEZINE.
