DHEMAJI, Aug 28 - Four shops at Bishnupur Panch Ali in North Dhemaji area under Dhemaji Police Station were gutted recently causing extensive damage.
According to information, the fire started from a tea stall. It then spread to the shops owned by Gajen Das, Thaneswar Yein, Ramen Narah, Manoj Hazarika, Ramesh Das and Galong Narah. Fire tenders arrived on the spot and brought it under control. The property destroyed is estimated to be worth around Rs 7 lakh. An FIR has been lodged in this connection at Dhemaji Police Station.
