IMPHAL, May 29 � Human rights crusader Irom Sharmila has expressed resentment at the way she was treated at Patiala Court in Delhi yesterday saying the authority there prevented her from meeting media persons.
�I was devastated that they prevented me from meeting the media persons who were waiting there�, rued Sharmila upon arrival at Imphal airport at 11.30 am today from Delhi. Sharmila said she was taken through the back entrance instead of the front door while entering the court. She further said that once inside the court she was confined in a locked room for a long time before she was produced in the dock.
Sharmila appeared before the Patiala Court yesterday. A case is pending against her in the court there in connection with her agitation at Jantar Mantar, Delhi in 2006 demanding the repeal of the AFSPA.
